Usually, there is a large crowd on the first Saturday of every month, because admission to the Zoo is free for Providence residents. This is a tabling event with about 15-20 other community groups. A good opportunity to promote the Master Gardener program.
Introduce the general public to URI Cooperative Extension and the Master Gardener Program, and provide science-based gardening information to visitors at various sites throughout RI and nearby MA. Kiosks are set-up at events like farmers’ markets, environmental fairs, and other special events.
